Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, success driven Industrial Engineer to join our expanding office in Lyndhurst, VA. As an Industrial Engineer you will be provided with the training and job experience necessary to advance into a leadership role as you progress within the organization. Industrial Engineers spearhead all continuous improvement projects across the company to increase safety, quality, efficiency, and output. 

What you can expect in the Industrial Engineer role:

  • Guide the design, development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and activities throughout the company to improve competitiveness and operational excellence
  • Review and measure engineering/construction methods, technology application, and workflow processes and apply lean/continuous improvement application skills
  • Responsible for working with the senior leadership team to plan, execute, monitor, and continuously improve field and corporate objectives
  • Identify safety training needs and develop training curriculum and materials within our STAR program
  • Exhibit operational knowledge of construction and service standards and be able to move team forward
  • Manage and implement processes within company ERP system
  • Work to improve efficiency of service and maintenance operations in the field
  • Develop and maintain SOPs/video walk-throughs to ensure consistent training and quality assurance
  • Monitor Quality Assurance
  • Provide project oversight/assistance to Project Managers, in-house shop foreman, and office staff
  • May help handle emergency service calls; this will require one weekend per month and one weekday per workweek

What you need to be successful:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Background in continuous improvements programs for office, engineering, fabrication and construction team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with a broad range of individuals, from craft worker to senior management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Able to lead/manage project teams in these process areas
